Deacon Jim grew up in Milwaukee a cradle Catholic. He attended Mother of Perpetual Help grade school, Messmer High School and graduated from UW-M. Jim married his wife Monica at St. Mary Parish in 1973 and they have been members ever since. Jim and Monica have 16 children and 14 grandchildren, so far.

Jim served as the parish/school athletic director for 15 years and left that position to start his deacon formation. Jim was ordained a deacon in September 2012. His ministry is to serve the parish in as many capacities as needed. Jim has owned and operated The Floor Mart, a flooring and cabinet business, since 1979. The business has served the parish and school as well as many parishioners over the years.
