Clubs and Events

The Respect Life Committee is an organization formed to help our parish community in its missionary efforts to promote the Gospel of Life.  While promoting the Sanctity of Life, we will work in harmony with the goals of our Bishop and our local diocesan Respect Life Office.  We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11 am.  If you are interested and cannot make the meeting time, please phone and be part of our volunteer group which helps at some of these events:  a baby shower for mothers and babies in need, the baby bottle campaign to help the Women's Support Center in Milwaukee, the Mother's Day rose sale, the Life Chain event, and more.

MEN'S DARTBALL

St. Anthony's Dartball Club belongs to the Catholic Men's Blue and Gold Dartball League.  Our weekly matches are social gatherings of players from 9 different parishes in the Archdiocese.  The club invites anyone from the parish to join, men and women.

Home matches take place in Reichling Hall, in the school, on Wednesday nights starting at 7:00 pm.  The Dartball season begins in October and ends in March.

"Saints and a Shepherd" Bridge Marathon is an organization for social bridge competition.  Partners, same person all year, play another twosome each month in their own homes, September through April.  A banquet ends the season in early May.  There is a membership fee and proceeds from the year are donated to the Menomonee Falls Food Pantry.

We have three Flights:  two flights have 8 couples and one Flight has 10 couples.  You can join any of the Flights or even join two Flights if you love the game.  Only one membership fee is required.  We welcome you to join the fun!  Our new year begins in September.

Anyone interested can contact Chris Meier, (262) 252-3679 or [email protected].

The Grief Support Ministry was resurrected at our parish to serve anyone dealing with grief, loneliness, a feeling of being isolated from other parishioners since a family member died, and the list goes on. We don’t ask anything of you; we just ask that if you need someone to talk with, to cry with, to laugh within sharing joyful, heart-lifting memories, then please call us or join us at one of our monthly meetings. Even if you aren’t ready to share your pain aloud, perhaps just being with others even in your silence, will bring you some peace, some way forward, the first step to finding life again. So smile a little today, laugh a little today, for God wants you to be joyful again.

PRAYER CHAIN

St. Anthony’s Prayer Chain was started in the Spring of 2002.  Its purpose is to involve parish members in praying daily for the intentions of fellow parishioners and others.  This is an opportunity to enrich the spiritual life of our faith community.

Prayer Chain volunteers are contacted by phone or email when new prayer intentions are requested.  They pray daily, at their convenience, for all those on the Prayer Chain.  It is not necessary to say a separate prayer for each intention.  We respect the confidentiality of all requests received.

Some examples of possible prayer requests include, but are not limited to, prayers for those with illnesses, undergoing surgery, experiencing stress in their lives, prayers for the families of the recently deceased, those with high-risk pregnancy, infertility, etc.

For those looking for a flexible opportunity to participate in a ministry in today’s fast-paced, over-scheduled lifestyle, the Prayer Chain may be for you.  There are no formal meetings to attend and you do not have to belong to any other parish organization to join.  Volunteers of all ages are welcome!

To join or to request prayers, contact Pat Wolnik, (262) 251-9557 or

Theresa Peavler, (414) 354-8321.
