Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon in distributing Holy Communion to the people. This lay participation is a manifestation of unity at the Eucharistic table. The Eucharistic rite is a divine reality that is the very essence of our faith.
Ministers of Holy Communion should be people of prayer who are eager to bring Christ to others in a reverent and
loving manner.
Committing ourselves to this ministry involves attending a practice session covering procedures to be
followed at the altar. You will be told about scheduling, sign-in sheets, and the method of purification of
the sacred vessels used during Eucharist.
